Return policy

Our customers mean the world to our small business and we hope that you love your new purchase. We want you to feel confident in placing an online order. With this in mind, our returns policy is as follows:

In the instance your item isn’t quite right, we are happy to offer returns on full price items* only, if returned in original condition to LBG HQ within 14 days of dispatch date.

*For online orders only, exclusions below apply.

Once an order has been processed, we are unfortunately unable to make any changes or cancel an order.

Only full price online orders are eligible to be returned for the below:

  • A store credit valid for 12 months from date of issue. You must contact us within 7 days and return the item to us within 24 hours of receiving your RMA (Returns Authorisation Number)
  • A refund to the original payment method, minus a $10 flat rate shipping and handling fee. You must contact us within 7 days and return the item to us within 24 hours of receiving your RMA (Returns Authorisation Number)
  • All items must be returned in original, brand new condition, with all tags attached and within 14 days from date of dispatch. PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL SWING TAGS MUST NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE GARMENT, OR YOUR RETURN WILL BE INVALID. If your return does not meet these requirements, it will be returned back to the sender at the customer's expense. We reserve the right to DECLINE any return if the item/s does not meet ALL return conditions.
  • Item/s must be returned in original condition, unworn, unaltered, unwashed and with their tags attached. If merchandise is returned despite these conditions your return will be sent back to you at an additional charge.
  • Items must be returned using a trackable courier or registered post. Returns will not be accepted without the return tracking number provided by the customer, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit to us.
  • Store credits and refunds will only be processed once the original item has been returned to us and assessed.
  • All items must be returned at the expense of the customer.
  • There are strictly no refunds allowed on orders purchased using Afterpay.
  • PLEASE NOTE, IN STORE/PHONE ORDERS WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR REFUND.
  • All returns must be APPROVED by online management PRIOR to being sent back.
  • Due to a high turnover rate of our stock, we cannot offer any exchanges or holds on items. As we cannot guarantee the item will still be available once we have received your return.

Please kindly note, all sale items are FINAL SALE and not eligible to be returned for an exchange, credit note or refund under any circumstances.

LBG strictly cannot accept any returns or exchanges on the below items:

  • Eyewear
  • Jewellery
  • Headwear
  • Swimwear
  • Lingerie
  • Chocolates
  • Rugs & towels
  • Candles, incense & sprays
  • Socks

Any items ordered on pre-order are not eligible to be returned. All pre-orders are classified as a custom-made goods as we would not have ordered them if you had not purchased them, as such they are non-returnable.

Items purchased from a La Bohème stockist must be returned to the stockist from where the item was purchased originally, and are not managed by La Bohème Lifestyle retail or E-boutique.

Online purchases can be returned in person to the store, only if your return request has been approved, and you have emailed through to hello@laboheme.shop, as this is a special request and online management must inform our boutique manager.

All online purchases made prior to 3rd April 2024, are not eligible for a refund. Any store credits previously processed before the implemented change of our returns policy, cannot be exchanged for a refund.

Online Returns Process

All return requests for ONLINE purchases are to be submitted via the below link:

You will need to enter your order number and email address used to place the order with. Please then follow the prompts and submit your return request.

Online management will then approve or decline your return request within 2 business days and follow up with further details on returning your item.

Please note our contact number is for the physical boutique only and our in-store team are unable to process any online returns, it must all be communicated and approved via email in writing.

Thank you in advance for your patience and kindness, please keep in mind we are a boutique business, and you are emailing with real people. We will get back to you as soon as we can and believe in treating each other with kindness for the best outcome.

Please allow up to 3-5 business days for your return to be processed once it has been received at LBG HQ.

Please note original shipping charges are non-refundable and all shipping costs incurred from returning an item for a store credit are the responsibility of the customer. All items being sent back to us MUST be sent by a trackable source, we will not be held responsible for items lost in the post on return to us.

 

In Store Returns Policy

PLEASE NOTE, IN STORE/PHONE ORDERS WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR REFUND.

We will happily offer a STORE CREDIT for all full price items purchased in our in store boutique or over the phone that are returned to the store WITHIN 7 DAYS OF PURCHASE.

Full priced items that are purchased during a store promotion are also eligible to return for STORE CREDIT or EXCHANGE.

All reduced items in any sale or promotion are FINAL SALE and no exchanges, credit notes or refunds will be offered.

We do not offer refunds unless the item is deemed faulty (see faulty item procedure below).

Item/s must be UNWORN, UNUSED with ORIGINAL TAGS, LABELS and PACKAGING INTACT.

Proof of purchase is required in the form of the La Bohème Lifestyle transactional receipt, email or invoice. Items purchased from a La Bohème stockist must be returned to the stockist from where they were purchased and are not managed by La Bohème Lifestyle retail boutique or La Bohème E-boutique.

La Bohème Boutique credit notes processed from in store purchases are valid for use IN STORE ONLY. Once your credit has been processed, you will receive an email with your credit note in the form of a receipt valid for 12 months.

 

Faulty Items

We make every effort to ensure that all items shipped to you are in perfect condition. In the unlikely event that the item is faulty, management will liaise directly with the supplier to determine whether the item is to be repaired, replaced or a credit note/refund is to be issued.

Please contact us by email hello@laboheme.shop with an image and description of the fault along with your order number, full name, address and contact number. All faults need to be reported within 48 hours of your order being delivered.

La Bohème Lifestyle will cover shipping costs for items purchased online that are deemed faulty.

 

Pre Order Items

All pre-orders are classified as a custom-made goods as we would not have ordered them if you had not purchased them, as such they are non-returnable. This does not exclude your rights under Australian Consumer Law (ACL) as you may still have warranties or guarantees on the products description, fit for purpose and quality. For more information on this please refer to the Australian Consumer Law rights of a consumer.

All pre-orders are classified as custom orders and as such full payment is required on pre-orders. If you choose to cancel your order, you will forfeit all or part of your money.

Shipping of pre-orders is commonly between 4 to 8 weeks. However, pre-orders can be delayed, due to issues that may arise which are out of our control, such as Australian custom clearances, inclement weather or strikes.

Please be mindful to check sizing and fit info before purchase. All sizing, fabrication and care instructions are available in the product descriptions.
